Spain – Sweden

Spain and Sweden are going face to face at the Estadio Olimpico de Sevilla in a match from Group E of the Euro 2020. We advise you to stay with us and see our preview for this game.

Spain are among the most successful teams in the history of this competition as they have won it three times so far. The Spanish national team is in a crisis since their last triumph in 2012, though. La Roja didn’t do anything significant in the last few competitions they played in, so now everyone hopes for something better from the manager Luis Enrique and his players.

Spain’s golden generation is a history now, so it’s time for La Roja to build something new and successful. They have some exciting young players such as Eric Garcia, Pedri, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres, but the team will also need the experience of Jordi Alba, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago, Koke and Alvaro Morata.

The bad news for the Spanish national team came from the positive COVID-19 test of Sergio Busquets. The Barcelona midfielder will miss the beginning of the competition, but Luis Enrique is hopeful to use him at some later part of the tournament.

Sweden hoped to use Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Euro, but the AC Milan striker will miss the competition because of an injury. He sensationally returned to the national team, but he was unlucky enough to get injured in the knee.

The Swedish team has another exciting talent to look at, though. That’s the 21-years old striker Alexander Isak, currently signed to Spanish club Real Sociedad. He’s regarded as one of the most talented young strikers in Europe now, so let’s see what he can do at the Euro.

That’s the preview of the Euro 2020 match between Spain and Sweden in Sevilla on Juen 14. Can La Roja start with a win here? Most surely they will try to.
