Stuttgart – Bayern Munich

Stuttgart hosts Bayern Munich at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena in a match from 9th round of the Bundesliga. Is this going to be another masterclass performance by the champions? Let’s discuss it in the next few paragraphs.

In the previous round of the Bundesliga Bayern Munich surprisingly made a mistake against Werder Bremen at home. The match at the Allianz Arena ended with a 1-1 draw and let’s be honest here – nobody really expected to see a result like this. Bayern Munich are dominating both in Germany and Europe, so everytime they make a wrong step it’s a huge event.

During the week the Bavarians reminded us how good they are. Hansi Flick’s boys hosted Salzburg in the Champions League and rocked the Austrians with a 3-1 win. Robert Lewandowski, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane scored for FC Hollywood. With this win Bayern Munich reached the knockout phase of the competition.

Hansi Flick put Leroy Sane on the bench against Salzburg, but the winger came in in the second half and scored a goal. Most likely Sane is going to start on Saturday.

Stuttgart are having a decent season so far. The club is 8th in the standings with 11 points and this is a fine performance by Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team. Stuttgart’s main goal is to keep their place in the league, so this is a good way to start the new campaign.

In their last match Stuttgart made their 4th consecutive draw in the Bundesliga. The former champions paid a visit to Hoffenheim and the game ended with a 3-3 draw. Nicolas Gonzalez, Silla Wamangituka and Marc Kempf scored for the visitors.

That’s our preview for the Bundesliga clash between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich on Saturday. For us it’s hard to believe that Bayern could make a mistake for a second consecutive week in the German league. But everything is possible really.
